Cinemas in Tallinn

The opening of modern multiplex cinema complexes has led to a gradual diminution of cinema halls in Tallinn and Estonia in general. This is a worldwide phenomenon and it seems to be irreversible. Foreign movies obviously represent the great majority of Estonian cinema offer. They are screened in original language and subtitled in Estonian. The lack of dubbing is not a problem in a country like this, where last generations speak very good English.

Coca Cola Plaza

Coca-Cola Plaza, the first multiplex cinema complex in Estonia, was inagurated on 10 March 2001, which is exactly 37 years after the opening of the historic movie theatre Kosmos which is also managed by Forum Cinemas. The official opening movie of the multiplex was "Cast Away" directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks.

At the time of its opening Coca-Cola Plaza was considered to be the most modern movie theatre complex in whole Estonia. Thanks to continuous progress and hard work Coca-Cola Plaza has established itself as the most popular movie theatre in Estonia. In 2007, Coca-Cola Plaza reached a historic milestone: the number of visitors exceeded the magical 1 million for the very first time. Today in its 11 cinema halls (with the capacity of almost 2000 seats) are screened the main Hollywood movies, important documentary films and sporting events. All the 11 cinema halls have been equipped with the absolute best cinema technology.

For those movie-lovers who wish to enjoy movies in a more private environment there is the little 40-seat A.Le Coq Suite. It is possible to book the suite for birthdays, presentations, private screenings, conferences and other events. There is also a bar situated in the lounge area of the suite offering a beautiful view to the Old Town. In the hall area of Coca-Cola Plaza there is a candy shop offering a wide selection of sweets, dried fruit and different hot or cold beverages - for every taste. In the candy shop you can also find different movie related toys.
